Mastaban Tomb Sparrows by skulpturro Mastaban Tomb Sparrows by skulpturro
On occasion, bird pets buried with dignitaries and their families in Eqypt and the Sudan somehow regained the power of a "second life".
It has been theorized that the embalming process might have worked in reverse for non-human corpses, providing months or even years of life for those animal companions unfortunate to have been buried alive alongside their owners.
Fruits and vegetables buried with the family and even decaying flesh might have provided enough nourishment for these small birds.

I'm getting better every day. Now that I have time to actually heal and take better care of myself I am beginning to actually feel good and I'm actually getting some new work done. I'm glad you like my avatar. I'm working on an ID pic that involves a somewhat similar idea.

Notwithstanding your wish to terrify, your work-without question exquisitely conceived and executed by a fabulous mind- is endearing and humanist, life-affirming. That something like this makes one feel wistful and gratefully weepy is further testament yo your seemingly boundless talent and creativity.

Jeesoos Keryste! Imagine that! A thriving community of freaky birds in each coffin or sarcophagus!

This rocks and I love the 'DOF' as they call it. looks very very real!

Top gruesome work

And that's not 'Father' in the Biblical sense ;) Of Course "lol:
Why are you still posting, silly man?
You should be practice breathing, I think, and buying Chinese food for the missus, methinks.

WHOA!!!!
You Full-Viewed?
You are brave, considering the fleshy menace I submitted just prior.
That was a lunch-spewer, for sure.
I am speechless, that is unless you are just messing with me.
You are a joker, to be sure. In the nicest-possible way.
Of Course. :manhug:
